Bruce Springsteen, Milwaukee Show Information

Lots of questions about GA line and wristbands/lottery so here’s some info:

There will no need of a “lottery” here. The entire show is GA. The site is huge and there is plenty of space for everyone to line up in advance with an orderly entrance. The entrance will be from stage left (right side as you look at the stage) at 5:00. The field is set up in 4 sections with section 1 basically being a larger version of our indoor set up with an easy capacity of 4,000 plus,, so no reason to rush. Then a middle split going towards the mix position so section 2 and 3 being left and right,, then section 4 basically being the rest of the site.

There will be around 50,00 people experiencing this with you.

Yes, there will be wristbands given for section 1. No reason to drive yourself crazy getting there real early as it will be a long day. Go check out the rest of what Harley Davidson has to offer as the festival is great. Also note that after the events of the night before (ending with the Foo Fighters) the park will be closed so no need to think about coming early to camp out. I’ve received questions and e-mails about “Ebay selling wristbands”. I’ve checked and the answer is yes. Harley Davidson had a package they offered to some groups who bought a higher dollar package which had as part of the swag wrist bands for section 1. This was a very limited number and the bucks went towards their Muscular Dystrophy Funds. These wrist bands do not give any early admittance to the section. These people will be on the same line as the rest of you with no advantage other than knowing they can get to section 1. Again as I’ve noted, the front section is huge and there will be other bands on early so no need to push yourself to be in front. Now,, saying all that, I know some will still do this and I always admire the dedication. We will have water available and rest rooms (well, portapotties) on the entrance side outside for the committed who will still want to line up early. No,, security will not be honoring any fan organized line holding. If you leave the immediate area you will be back to the end of the line. Please be safe , have some respect for the others who may be coming for their first experience and let’s hope the weather stays as great as it was here today.

Another question that has come up is “where do we pick up will call if we ordered tickets late and no time for mail delivery?” The answer is “will call” will be at the North side of the grounds. The stage faces North so.. If you walk around the perimeter so that you are basically looking at the center of the stage from the outside ticket entrance , the “WILL CALL” is large canopy tent to your left. The signage is easy to see. There is no “band” will call for this show as all our friends purchased their tickets like everyone else,, online. So no confusion here. “WILL CALL” is for all ordered tickets pickup. Have a great night!

The tour has been great and thanks!

BAND INFO:
The first band on stage at 6:00 will be the Robert Allen Jr. Trio which is a contest winner organized with our Harley Davidson hosts. I’ve attached some information at the bottom of the page regarding how this came about as we thought it was a great idea and I know you’d probably asking how it was decided. Then the plan is for Alejandro Escovedo and his band to be onstage at 7:00 Then Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band at 8:30

As a part of its 105th Anniversary Celebration, Harley-Davidson wanted to highlight its employee’s talent by offering employee bands the opportunity to play at the 105th events.

To be considered, contestants needed to be a Harley-Davidson or Buell employee who is currently in a band. Contestants also needed to compete in an audition. (Only one member of the band needed to be an employee.) Employees submitted a recording and short description of their band to a review team who picked the top submissions.

More than 60 entries were received from employees at each of Harley-Davidson’s plants and one from H-D’s Europe office. The review team selected the top 25 bands to play at the 105th events at Main Street at the Lakefront. Additionally, the highest scorers won extra gigs at 105th events at Summerfest. One of the best bands, Robert Allen Jr. Trio, featuring Paul Martin, a designer in H-D’s styling department, was selected to play before Alejandro Escovedo who will be followed by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band on Saturday night at the Roadhouse at the Lakefront beginning at 6:00 p.m.
