Bruce Springsteen tickets went on sale in the NYC Metro area. 5 shows and of course there were same old problems. Nothing has changed since the last time Bruce toured. Some old timers might remember when Bruce say during his last song of the evening, “I’m just a prisoner of Rock and Roll.” Well, he needs to update that line with “I’m just a prisoner of ticketmaster and so are my fans!” It is t…ime for Bruce and the other big time acts to create their own ticket distribution service. No way to fans have a chance at tickets, if they are on sale at inflated prices on Stubb Hub or Ebay, before they officially go on sale. These acts and their management have to know this is happening, their heads are not in the sand.

We, as a Springsteen nation, are disappointed again!!
In 2009 Bruce Springsteen has responded to his fans’ outcry following Ticketmaster’s problem-laden sale of his Working on a Dream tour.
Countless fans reported technical malfunctions during the on-sale.
We were pleasantly surprised and thankful that Springsteen stood up for his fans.
Now, almost 3 years later, the ticket sale starts for the Wrecking Ball tour and the fans find out that nothing has changed.
As individual fans there is not much we can do. We can ban scalpers by not buying their tickets but for a lot of fans that means you will not see Bruce and the E-Street band live!!!
The Springsteen Management has to use their power to stand up for their fans AGAIN and make sure that the hard core fans get a fair change to buy tickets for a reasonable price. Bands like U2 already showed that that’s possible.
WE HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF OUR OWN!!!

Bruce is not “a prisoner of rock n’ roll’ as you say. He is so powerful now that he is the warden. I love Bruce and his music. However, I will not excuse him for allowing this to happen at this stage of his career and life. Mr. Springsteen HAS the power to stop this. This calls into question all his ballads that he has written about the everyday working man. The reality is that he does not understand and he does not care about those who do not have deep pockets. this is the LAST time around for me and his overpriced tickets.
I appreciate your comments, but he really doesn’t have much say. It is a machine and when you think about it, not an easy one to re-create. I wonder how many people were logged onto the ticketmaster sight lookin for tickets? Think about it, there had to be an overwhelming number of people to cause the system to crash or at least be overwhelmed. What pisses me off is that other people get to get tickets before the general public. I think that pisses him off too! Now the Attorney Generals of NY & NJ got involved and were sure this shit was not going to happen again and it did. If they can’t do anything the artists are pretty much up the creek. What has to happen is that the artists need to create their own system of distribution where they control 100% of the tickets. It will be hard to do and cost a lot of money and even then, I am sure there will be season ticket holders, luxury box owners and each arena who all get tickets before you or I have access, so we would again, basically behind the eight ball.
